As Indigenous communities in Myanmar prepare to welcome the traditional New Year Water Festival, many children are doing so after surviving both a devastating earthquake and relentless military attacks. For them, this should be a time of renewal, joy, and cultural celebration—but instead, they face displacement, fear, and extreme hardship.

These children have already endured unimaginable suffering. Their homes, schools, and communities have been destroyed. Yet, despite everything, they continue to dream of a future where they can learn, play, and grow in safety. Through our grassroots network, we provide essential aid, including:
Unlike large international organizations, our community-led approach ensures that 100% of donations go directly to those in need. We can quickly distribute support to families on the ground, reaching the most vulnerable children when they need it most.
As they enter a new year marked by both resilience and struggle, let's show them they are not alone. Your generosity can bring hope, stability, and a sense of normalcy back into their lives.
RISE is now able to receive tax-deductible donations from Australia, Canada, United States, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and Belgium (New Zealand coming soon). This is possible through partnership with Myriad International operating through our sister organisation the Centre for Rural Education Development (CRED) in Thailand.
Donate Now to give these children a future beyond survival — one filled with possibility.

RISE promotes the interests of Indigenous Peoples and children in Myanmar and their right to provide and access a culturally appropriate, quality education in their own mother tongue.
