An 8-year old grade 2 student in Lwel Mi Na Ka village, Tar Pon track, Keng Tung township was hit by a car died immediately at the scene.
The accident occurred in 30th October at 9am when a student, Yaw Sha Hla, who looked after buffaloes on the Mine Khat- Keng Tung highway road was hit by a car. When a passenger car was approaching the road, the buffaloes got frightened by the speedy car and ran across the road. The hand of the student was fastened to a rope tied to one of the running buffaloes.
“I’ve never witnessed this kind of accident in my life. I was shocked and felt sorry for the student and his family. I tried to console the parents before moving to another village for the survey”, shared by Sayarma Harry Sin who was doing a school survey in the area.The local police is now investigating the accident for immediate action of the case.
